Butler of our town, died at her home in Third Avenue Wednesday evening after a lingering illness. She was, before her marriage, Miss Cora Duck, daughter of the late J.T. Duck and Mrs. Nancy Jones Duck of Nansemond County, and was in her 53rd year. Besides her husband, Mrs. Butler leaves three sons, D. R. Butler, Jr., and Tim Butler of Franklin and Kemper Butler of Farmville; a daughter, Miss Cora Lee Butler of this town, and two brothers, P.O. Duck and Fenton Duck of Nansemond. Funeral services will be held from the home this (Friday) afternoon at 3 o’clock with interment in Poplar Spring Cemetery. Cora Victoria (DUCK; Mrs. David R.)
