DAVID RICHARD BUTLER, JR.

  A funeral service for David Richard Butler, Jr., 64, will be held 
Thursday at 2 p.m. in Poplar Spring Cemetery by the Rev. Charles Smith. 
W.J.M. Holland was in charge.

  Butler, of 515 Pretlow St., died Monday in his home.

  A native of Nansemond County, he was a member of Franklin Congregational 
Christian Church.

  He owned and operated the Francis Variety Shop here.

  Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Cora Lee Francis of Franklin; and a 
brother, Richard Timothy Butler of Newsoms.
