KENNETH ALAN BUTLER

   FRANKLIN - Kenneth Alan Butler, 20, of Route 3, a student, died Dec. 29, in 
Isle of Wight County as the result of injuries from an automobile accident.

   Mr. Butler, a Franklin native, was a junior at Virginia Tech.  He was a 
member of Sycamore Baptist Church and a graduate of Franklin High School, 
where he was a member of the wrestling and football teams.  He was a summer 
employee of Union Camp Corp., Franklin.

   Survivors include his parents, John C. Butler, Jr. and Rebecca H. Butler; 
a sister Catherine E. Butler; two brothers Tommy C. Butler and Richard C. 
Butler; and his maternal grandmother, Lina G. Harcum*, all of Franklin.

   A memorial service was conducted Wednesday in Sycamore Baptist Church by 
the Rev. M. Reginald Warren.  Wright Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
