ANNA ERMA CORNEAL HORNE BOWDEN 

Mrs. Erma H. Bowden 

Zuni - Mrs. Erma Horne Bowden, 81, died Tuesday in a Norfolk hospital. 

A native of Southampton County, she was the widow of John Rufus Bowden. 
She was a member of Tucker Swamp Baptist Church. 

Survivors include two sons: Herman W. Bowden and J.R. Bowden of Zuni, 
a daughter, Mrs. Emmit G. Barrett of Zuni; three sisters, Mrs. Eva B. 
Johnson of Zuni, Mrs. Lalie Council and Mrs Helen Worrell of Ivor; six 
grandchildren and four great grandchildren. 

A funeral service will be held Thursday at 2 pm in Purviance Funeral 
Chapel, Wakefield, by Rev. J. Waverly Horne and Rev. Ernest Comwell. 
Burial will be at Tucker Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery.
