He is survived by one daughter Mrs. J.R. Babb of Sebrell; five sons, John, Daniel and Nelson Beaton of Franklin, Edward of Norfolk and Claude of New Orleans; one brother, Jim Beaton, of Franklin and nine grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Beaver Dam Cemetery Tuesday afternoon conducted by Rev. W.B. Denson, assisted by Rev. R.D. Stephenson. Active pallbearers were J. Edgar Weede, George Watkins, D.R. Butler, J.C. Holland, Tom Dundalow, J.E. Butler, R.H. Peters and R.H. Joyner.
