ALLEN THOMAS BAILEY 

   A funeral service for Allen Thomas Bailey, 52, of Rt. 3, Franklin was held 
Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in W.J.M. Holland and Sons Funeral Home by the Rev. Arthur 
McGahan.

   Burial was in Newsoms Cemetery.

   Pallbearers were M.B. Edwards, William Carr, Ernest Griffin, Harvey Cross, 
Ollie King and William Cross.

   Bailey died Friday at 3:30 a.m. at his residence after a long illness.

   A native of Southampton County, he was a son of Clifton Thomas and Mrs. 
Nannie Drake Bailey.

   He was a member of Buckhorn Baptist Church and a retired merchant.

   He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Elsie Lee Beale of Franklin and several 
nieces and nephews.
