Beale, died Sunday at the home of her brother, James F. Felts, of Warrique Farms, Southampton County, following a long illness. She was the daughter of the late James M. and Evelyn Cook Felts, of Southampton County. Besides her brother, she is survived by one sister, Mrs. R.L. Whitehead, of Norfolk, and six stepchildren, W.E. Beale of Norfolk, C.M. Beale of Smithfield, Leonard Beale of Lynchburg, Mrs. George W. Scott and Miss Sallie Beale of Portsmouth and Mrs. Rowell Seward of Suffolk. Services were held Tuesday afternoon at 3 o’clock from Tucker Swamp Baptist Church conducted by the pastor, the Rev. George Kissinger, III, assisted by Rev. Mr. Bahler sang two duets, "Shadows" and "God’s Tomorrow." Interment took place in the church cemetery, pallbearers being Percy Bradshaw, W.C. Rawls, Geo. C. Powell, Edgar M. Felts, L.T. Saunders, R.M. Doles, R.H. Cook and J.M. Clayton. Honorary pallbearers were friends of the family. Mary Adelaide "Addie" (FELTS; Mrs. William M.)
