All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ ARTHUR JULIAN BEALE Arthur Julian Beale, 57, a lifelong resident of the Sedley community, died in Raiford Memorial Hospital on Thursday night, June 9, after a brief illness. Mr. Beale is the son of the late Willie and Effie Turner Beale of Southampton County. He is a member of Black Creek Baptist Church and an employee of the St. Regis Paper Company. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Janie Cobb Beale; two sons, David Elton and James Thornton Beale of Sedley; two daughters, Helen Julia and Wilma Faye Beale, also of Sedley; and two sisters, Mrs. Olin D. Drake and Mrs. C.E. Womble, both of Franklin. Funeral services were conducted in the chapel of W.J.M. Holland & Sons on Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock, with Rev. L.B. Allen, pastor of Black Creek Baptist Church, officiating. Interment was in the family cemetery near Sedley. Pallbearers were Mills Beale, Sr., Willie Bradshaw, Jack Bryant, W.S.
