BETTIE JOHNSON BEALE 

   ZUNI - A funeral service for Mrs. Bettie Johnson Beale was conducted Saturday 
at 2 p.m. in W.J.M. Holland & Sons Funeral Home, Franklin, by the Rev. R.E. 
Brittle and the Rev. David O. Beale of Greenville, S.C.  Burial was in Black 
Creek Church Cemetery.

   Pallbearers were Johnny Beale, Ocie Beale, Willie Bradshaw, Reginald 
Bradshaw, Alvin Brock, and Robert Lowe.

   Mrs. Beale, 83, died Wednesday in her home after a long illness.

   A native of Southampton County, she was the widow of Allen Beale and a 
daughter of Nathan and Mrs. Mary Jane Duck Johnson.

   She was a member of Black Creek Baptist Church.

   Surviving are a son, Garland H. Beale of Franklin, six grandchildren, and six 
step-grandchildren.
