Bailey, 67, Buried March 25 In Ivor Cemetery Charlie Allen Bailey, 67, of Ivor, died Wednesday, March 2l, 1962 on the way to a Suffolk hospital after a heart attack. A native of Southampton County, he was a son of James C. and Mrs. Sallie Britt Bailey. He was a retired farmer. He is survived by three sons, Joe Calvin Bailey of Smithfield; Jack Allen Bailey of Lynnhaven, and Julian Franklin Bailey of Petersburg; five sisters, Mrs. Walter G. Britt and Mrs. Bettie J. Atkinson of Ivor; Mrs. Cora B. Clark of Petersburg; Mrs. Carrie B. Copeland of Orlando, Florida, and Mrs. Annie B. Mumford of Altoona, Pa.; two brothers, Ernest H. Bailey of Suffolk and Grover L. Bailey of Portsmouth; and four grandchildren. A funeral service was held Sunday, March 25th at 2:30 P.M. in the Purviance Funeral Chape1, Wakefield, by the Rev. Bryan W. Holloman of Ivor Baptist Church. Burial was in the Ivor Cemetery.
