All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ Services Today For Mrs. Beale FRANKLIN, May 17 - Mrs. Daisy Mack Beale, 63, well known resident of the Franklin-Newsoms community, died Thursday night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Marvin Edwards, after an illness of several months. She was the daughter of the late Charlie and Nancy Story Mack, of Southampton County. She was a member of the Sunbeam Baptist Church. Besides Mrs. Edwards she is survived by five sons, Emmett Beale, of Phoebus; Collin Beale, of Petersburg, and Spurgeon, John and Robert Beale, all of Franklin; nine grandchildren; two brothers, Dallas Mack, of Handsom, and Charlie Mack, of Newsoms; three sisters, Mrs. Eva Crowder, of Newsoms; Mrs. Mattie Story, of Sedley, and Mrs. Elsie Butler, of Roanoke Rapids, and a number of nieces and nephews. The body was taken to the Holland Funeral Home in Franklin, where it will lie in state until the funeral hour which will be Sunday at 5:30 p.m. in the Holland Funeral Chapel. Services will be conducted by the Rev. R.D. Stephenson, of Franklin. Burial will be in the Mount Horeb Church Cemetery near Handsom. Daisy C.
