Holland & Sons Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Charles Smith. Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery. Pallbearers were R.L. Young Sr., Hubert Young Jr., Hubert Young Sr., Walter Young Jr., Billy Beale and Ryland Beale Jr. Miss Beale, 80, a retired Norfolk County schoolteacher, died Monday morning in her home. A native of Southampton County, she was a daughter of W.L. and Mrs. Annie Miller Beale. She was a member of Franklin Christian Church and its Women’s Missionary Society and Carrie Beale Sunday school class, and Southampton County School Teachers Association. Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. R.L. Young Sr. of Franklin, Mrs. J.K. Gulley of Goldsboro, N.C. and Mrs. C.L. Wood of Norfolk; and four brothers, W.M. Beale Sr. of Franklin, W.E. Beale of Holland, R.F. Beale Sr. of Courtland and the Rev. C.H. Beale of Ocracoke, N.C.
