All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ EFFIE TURNER BEALE Mrs. Effie Turner Beale died at her home near Sedley February 7, in the 64th year of her life after a long period of ill health which she bore with patience and Christian fortitude. She was a member of Black Creek Baptist Church and was a regular attendant upon its services until failing health prevented. She was buried in the family burying ground at her home Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock, services being conducted by Rev. R.E. Vellines, pastor of her church. Her favorite hymns, "Nothing Between," "Rock of Ages" and "Face to Face" were sung. The pallbearers were: P.L. Cobb, C.R. Blythe, C.E. Womble, J.H. Johnson, R.R. Lankford and R.H. Bradshaw. Mrs. Beale leaves behind her afflicted husband who has been confined to his chair for 17 years; one son, Arthur J. Beale; two daughters, Miss Beatrice Beale and Mrs. Olin Drake; one sister, Mrs. Emma Norris, and three brothers, Percy, Robert and Frank Turner. Effie (TURNER; Mrs. Willie J.)
