FRANCES ELIZABETH OWEN BRADSHAW BAILEY

   SEDLEY - Frances Owen Bradshaw Bailey, 89, a former school teacher, died 
Feb. 10 in Richmond.

   Mrs. Bailey, a native of Sussex County, attended Farmville State Teacher’s 
College and taught in Sedley for several years.  She was a member of Grace 
Memorial United Methodist Church; a charter member of Sedley Woman’s Club; and 
a past worthy matron of the Southampton Chapter 68, Order of the Eastern Star. 
She was the widow of Linwood Bradshaw.

   Survivors include her husband, John A. Bailey Sr.; a daughter, Edith D. 
Tinkham of Richmond; two stepdaughters, Betty Gambill of Harrisonburg and 
Nancy Cogsdale of Sedley; a stepson, John A. Bailey, Jr. of Lebanon, Tenn.; 
10 grandchildren.

   The graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Rosemont 
Cemetery by the Rev. Weldon White.  Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, is handling 
arrangements.  Memorial donations may be made to the Building Reconstruction 
Fund of the church, Route 1, Box 8, Sedley 23878.
