He was the son of the late Eason and Betty [sic*] Bailey, of Southampton County, and was a member of the Sunbeam Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Annie Harcum Bailey, of Como, N.C.; seven sons, C.T. and R.G. Bailey, of Franklin; H.L. and W.F. Bailey, of Norfolk; O.M., W.H. and H.H. Bailey, of Como; three daughters, Mrs. Annie Pearl Davis and Mrs. Mae Jenkins, of Portsmouth; Mrs. Odell Worrell, of Newsoms; two brothers, Henry Bailey, of West Branch, and Eason Bailey, of Emporia; 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at the Holland Funeral Home Tuesday at 3 p.m. by the Rev. L.M. Kanite, of Courtland, assisted by the Rev. L.F. Paulette, of Smithfield. Burial will be in Sycamore Baptist Church Cemetery, near Franklin. Susan's sister Sarah Elizabeth "Betty" DAUGHTREY (b. ca. 1851); he 3m. Safronia (BUNCH; Mrs. Frank) WHITLEY (1847 - 1923). Eason (1839 - 1910) & Safronia were buried on the J.T. BRYANT farm in Southampton Co. - site not known (Nov 2024) to the SCHS Cemetery Project. Frank & Annie appear in the 1920 Census in Maney's Neck Twp., Hertford Co., NC, on the Como-Riddicksville Rd. They appear in the 1930 Census in Maney's Neck Twp., Hertford Co., NC, on Bill Henderson Rd. They appear in the 1940 Census with son Warren Harcum BAILEY in Newsoms Dist., Southampton Co., on Hwy. 158.
