All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ GEORGE FLOYD BEALE George Floyd Beale, 52, husband of Mrs. Aldine Scott Beale of Franklin, died in a Richmond hospital on Sunday afternoon, September 7, after a brief illness. Mr. Beale was the son of the late S. Reginald and Mrs. Hester Edwards Beale of Southampton County. A veteran of World War I, he was a member of the Franklin Baptist Church, the Hunterdale Ruritan Club, and the Delaware Hunt Club. As a member of the Bruner Bible Class he achieved a record of missing only two Sundays in nine years. Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Robert Scott Beale and Donald Keith Beale, both of Franklin; three sisters, Mrs. Lewis Gillette of Franklin, and Mrs. Eunice Bradshaw and Mrs. F. Henderson of Norfolk. Funeral services for Mr. Beale were conducted at the grave in Poplar Spring Cemetery on Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock, with Rev. Ira D. Hudgins, pastor of the Franklin Baptist Church, officiating, assisted by James A. Coney of the Bethel Friends Meeting. Active pallbearers were William S. Bell, Robert Coggsdale, Linwood Edwards, ------*, Burton McLemore, S.W. Rawls, Jr., Rudolph Rogers and Hunter Scott. *Line through part.
