JOSEPH HENRY BEALE

   Hampton - A graveside funeral service for Joseph Henry Beale was conducted 
at 2 p.m. Friday in Olive Branch Cemetery, Portsmouth. Lawrence B. Wood 
Funeral Home was in charge.

   Beale, 75, died Tuesday in his home at 613 North Ave. after a short illness.

   A native of Southampton County, he was retired from the Seaboard Railroad 
shops in Portsmouth.

   He was the husband of the late Mrs. Fannie Haywood Beale and a son of 
William J. and Mrs. Ida Joyner Beale.

   He was an Army veteran of World War I.

   Surviving are two brothers, Howard M. Beale and William Beale of Portsmouth.

Southampton Co. native, d. 30 Dec 1969, at home, Hampton, age 75,
