JOSEPH VERNON BEALE

   Boykins - Funeral services for Joseph Vernon Beale, 62, were held Wednesday 
in Beechwood Cemetery, Boykins, by the Rev. Blaine Blubaugh.

   Beale died Monday in Halifax Memorial Hospital, Roanoke Rapids.

   He was a native of Southampton County and the husband of Virginia Bryant 
Beale. He was a member of Branchville United Methodist Church and a retired 
farmer.

   Other survivors include two sisters, Mabel Bateman of Clearwater, Fla. and 
Carrie B. Barnes of Norfolk.
