LILUER LENORA BEALE Mrs. Liluer Lenora Beale, widow of the late James Irvin Beale, died at her home here in South High Street Saturday, August 28, in her sixty-first year. She was sick only a few hours, succumbing to an attack of acute indigestion. Mrs. Beale, was a faithful wife and mother and a consistent Christian character of many noble qualities. For many years she had been a loyal member of the Franklin Christian Church. Her husband, who was a well-known and prominent citizen of this town, preceded her to the grave April 25, 1918. She is survived by five sons, Roger I., James Chesley, H.Woodfin and James Irvin, Jr. of Franklin and Cyrus W. Beale of Richmond; by two daughters, Mrs. W.H. McCullers of Franklin and Mrs. Kenneth J. Nixon of Raleigh, N.C.; two brothers, W.L. Beale and J.W. Beale of Franklin, and by a wide circle of relatives and friends. The funeral services were conducted from her late residence Monday afternoon, August 30, at 3:30 o'clock by her pastor, Dr. C.H. Rowland of the Christian church, assisted by Rev. Francis R. Lee and Rev. M.A. MacLean. Interment was made in the family plot in Poplar Spring Cemetery, the following being the pallbearers; active, W.H. Norfleet, H.L. Westbrook, W.J. Cross, Barclay Pretlow, L.R. Jones, Dr. R.H. Cobb, Dr. W.E. Snipes and E.L. Beale; honorary, J.A. Pretlow, R.A. Pretlow, T.O. Barrett, J.R. Howell, A.S. Johnson, General C.C. Vaughan, W.T. Pace, W.H. Stroud, P.D. Camp, R.E.L. Watkins, Joe Bynum Gay, D.A. Holland, R.A. Peters, J.P. Gay, C.H. Turner and T.H. Birdsong and W.F. Story of Suffolk. Liluer Lenora (BEALE; Mrs. James I.
