Mr. Beale was a young man, 35 years of age, of sterling worth, quiet and reserved in manner, but brave and courageous in the face of difficulty when occasion demanded. In early boyhood he made a profession of faith in Christ and united with Black creek Baptist Church where he was a consistent member until death. He made a brave fight against disease thru many months of suffering never complaining and trying to work until the last. Those who knew him best appreciated him most. Truly in his passing it is exemplified that death loves a shining mark. During his illness he was resigned to God’s will, saying that his only regret in dying was in leaving his wife and children. Mr. Beale is survived by a devoted wife, who was Miss Dora Carr, daughter of the late Miles L. Carr; five small children, four girls and one boy; an aged father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Carr Beale; three brothers, Robert, Willie and Lee Beale, all of this community. The funeral services were conducted from his late residence Tuesday afternoon by his Pastor, Rev. C.L. Eubank, in the presence of a large concourse of sorrowing friends. Interment was made in the family burial plot. The active pallbearers were Willie and Lee Beale, Arthur Carr, William Drewry, Dudley Joyner, Richard Branch, Fenton Branch, J.T. Pond, B.H. Carr, W.H. Womble, C.T. Stephenson and Shunway Bristow. To his sorely bereaved family we extend our deepest sympathy and commend them to the God above who has promised to be a husband to the widow and a father to the fatherless.
