REBECCA CAROLINE BEALE 

MISS REBECCA BEALE 

   Miss Rebecca Carolina Beale, 29, daughter of W. Emory Beale of Nansemond 
County and the late Mrs. Bernice Herrin Beale, died early Tuesday morning in 
Raiford Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.

   Surviving are her father and her stepmother; one sister, Mrs. David O. 
Goode, Jr., of Richmond; and a cousin, Mrs. Mills E. Godwin, Jr., of 
Chuckatuck.

   Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon at 3 o’clock at the 
grave in Poplar Spring Cemetery by Rev. R. Perry Ellis, pastor of South Quay 
Baptist Church.

   Pallbearers were Fenton Beale, Leland Beale, Jr., Ryland Beale, Jr., Theo 
Beale, Walter Beale, 3rd, and Hubert Young.
