RICHARD LEE BEALE 

   ZUNI - A funeral service for Richard Lee Beale was conducted Friday at 2 
p.m. in W.J.M. Holland & Sons Funeral Chapel, Franklin, by the Rev. C.L. 
Gatling. Burial was in Rosemont Cemetery, Sedley.

   Pallbearers were Walter Wallace Branch, Joseph Mayton Branch, Lonnie F. 
Branch, Ocie Beale, Garland Beale, Robert Lowe, Theo Beale, and Cecil Edwards.

   Beale, 82, died Wednesday morning in Southampton Memorial Hospital, Franklin.

   A native of Southampton County, he was the husband of the late Mrs. Lillian 
Branch Beale and a son of Carr and Mrs. Gary Lewis Beale.

   A retired farmer, he was a member of Black Creek Baptist Church.

   Surviving are a daughter, Miss Elsie Lee Beale of Zuni; two sons, Johnnie 
Beale and Lewis Beale of Franklin; five grandchildren; and two great-
grandchildren.
