1ST SGT. RICHARD THOMAS BAILEY

   FRANKLIN - A funeral service for 1st Sgt. Richard Thomas Bailey, 39, will 
be held today at 2 p.m. in Wright Funeral Home by the Rev. Kenneth Williams. 
Burial will be in Southampton Memorial Park with military honors at the grave.

   Bailey died Sunday night in Portsmouth Naval Hospital.

   A native of Franklin, he was the husband of Mrs. Dorothy Vick Bailey.

   He was stationed at Lakehurst, N.J., with flight-test activities. He had 20 
years of service.

   Other survivors include three daughters, Teresa Bailey, Darleen Bailey, 
Shelia Bailey, and two sons, Dwayne Bailey and Steve Bailey, all of the home; 
a brother, Jerry Jordan of Franklin; and stepfather, Meritt Jordan of Oklahoma.
