VIRGINIA EDWARDS BRYANT BEALE

   BOYKINS - A funeral service for Mrs. Virginia Bryant Beale, 63, was held 
Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Wright Funeral Home by the Rev. J. Blaine Blubaugh. 
Burial was in Beechwood Cemetery.

   Mrs. Beale died Sunday in Norfolk General Hospital. She was the widow of 
Joseph Vernon Beale and a native of Southampton County.

   She was a member of Branchville United Methodist Church, where she held 
many offices, and United Methodist Women.

   Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Elsie Mae Harrell of Suffolk; and four 
brothers, Willie Reives Bryant of Portsmouth, and Leslie P. Bryant, Raymond 
D. Bryant and James T. Bryant of Newsoms; and several nieces and nephews.
