All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ WILLIAM HERBERT BEALE William Herbert Beale, aged 36, died Wednesday morning at 1:30 o’clock at the Medical College Hospital in Richmond. He was the sons of Mrs. Mary Wills Beale and the late James Bogue Beale of Franklin. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Margaret Vick Beale, and one four year old son of Franklin; his mother, Mrs. Mary Wills Beale of Franklin; three sisters, Mrs. W.T. Powell of Freeman, Mrs. J.C. Bristow of Waverly and Mrs. Paul Rose of Franklin; two brothers, John E. Beale and J. Willard Beale of Franklin. Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at 3:30 o’clock at the Holland Funeral Home with the Rev. R.D. Stephenson officiating. Pallbearers were R.H. Allen, Carlton Cutchin, Oscar Modlin, Joseph Minton, Walter Luther Young, Herbert Saunders, Woodrow Vick, William Hathaway and Linwood Edwards. William Herbert BEALE, mechanic, Franklin native, d. 20 Oct 1943, Richmond, age 36, interred in Poplar Spring Cemetery (Annex 2, Plot 179A*), Franklin, 21 Oct 1943, "The Tidewater News" (Franklin, VA), Oct. 22, 1943, p. 4 *Additional information: He fell in a Franklin restaurant 20 Sep 1943, and was knocked unconscious; complications led to his death. (D.Cert. 21488) His widow remarried, 25 Apr 1947, to widower Ezra F. GRAY; they are buried in Annex 2, Plot 242.
