All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ Mrs. Margaret Jane Bulls, 84, Buried March 13 in Sedley Mrs. Margaret Jane Bulls, (better known to her friends as Maggie Pond Bulls), 84, died March 11 at Louise Obici Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. Mrs. Bulls was the daughter of George Washington and Catherine Cobb Pond, of Southampton County, and was one of the oldest members of the Black Creek Baptist Church. She was very active in the TEL Class and the WMU Society of the church. Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Annie Drake, Mrs. Lottie Ranch Bott, both of Sedley, Mrs. Mattie Bradshaw of Waverly; Mrs. Nellie Raiford of Ivor, and Mrs. Alma Bradshaw of Franklin, five sons, R.C. Bulls, Eddie Bulls and Otis Bulls, all of Sedley; Jasper Bulls of Smithfield; and Charlie Bulls of Franklin; 42 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren; two sisters Mrs. Lea Bradshaw of Franklin and Mrs. Ida Lowe of Sedley; three brothers, Norfleet Pond of Richmond and M.M. Pond of Sedley and George Pond of Zuni and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted from the Black Creek Baptist Church March 13th at 3 pm by the Rev. Ira D. Hudgins, pastor of the Franklin Baptist Church and the Rev. R.D. Stephenson, former pastor of the Franklin Baptist Curch. Burial was in the family cemetery near Sedley.
