All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ NEVA BENSON BOWLES CARRSVILLE - Mrs. Neva Benson Bowles, 52, a native of Johnson County, N.C., and a resident of Carrsville community 40 years, died Sunday night on the way to Southampton Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of Linwood David Bowles and a daughter of Ravin and Mrs. Ida Mae Benson. She was a member of the Church of God. Besides her husband, surviving are two sons, Bobby Lee Bowles of Franklin and Carol F. Bowles of Carrsville; three sisters, Mrs. Ruby Parker of Portsmouth and Mrs. Myrtle Francis and Mrs. Virginia Bowles of Franklin; three brothers, Jesse Benson of Franklin, Ben R. Benson of Marion and J.R. Benson of Richmond; and seven grandchildren. A funeral service was conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Church of God by the Rev. I.C. Collins. Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery. W.J.M. Holland & Sons Funeral Home had charge. Pallbearers were Lewis Wright, Sherman Blythe, Jesse Benson, Tommy Harmon, Jack Mumford and Hugh Vick, Jr. Neva (BENSON; Mrs. Linwood D.)
