THOMAS PATRICK BOWLES

   New York - A graveside funeral service for Thomas Patrick Bowles was 
conducted at 4:30 p.m. Monday in the family cemetery near Sunbeam. W.J.M. 
Holland & Sons Funeral Home was in charge.

   Bowles, 55, died Friday in his home.

   A native of Southampton County, Va., he as a son of William Thomas and Mrs. 
Effie Curle Bowles.

   He was a member of Sunbeam (Va.) Baptist Church and a retired Navy veteran.

   He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Evelyn Outland of Portsmouth and Mrs. 
Etta Mae Harris of Bristol; and two brothers, Walter L. Bowles of Washington 
and Herbert Bowles of Orlando, Fla.
