BERTHA AUSTIN BLYTHE

   Mrs. Bertha Austin Blythe, 65, wife of Junius Blythe of 208 Beale Court, 
died about 11:30 o’clock Thursday night, November 24, in Raiford Memorial 
Hospital after a long illness.

   Mrs. Blythe was the daughter of the late James and Etta Holland Austin of 
Isle of Wight County.  She was a member of Union Christian Church, Hunterdale.

   Besides her husband she is survived by two sons, Stanley Blythe and 
Nathaniel Blythe, both of Franklin; three grandchildren; four brothers, Boyd 
Austin of Newport News, Fred and Willie Austin of Suffolk, and Charlie Austin 
of Washington, D.C.

   Funeral services for Mrs. Blythe were conducted at two o’clock Saturday 
afternoon at Union Christian Church by Rev. B.H. Watkins and James R. Stein. 
Interment was in Poplar Spring Cemetery, the active pallbearers being Johnny 
Cook, Tony Cobb, Asa Joyner, J.G. Joyner, R.R. Lankford, W.H. Drewry, Shelley 
Joyner and Sam Powell.
