Holland & Sons Funeral Chapel by the Rev. R.E. Brittle of Suffolk. Burial will be in the family cemetery near Franklin. Pallbearers were Harold Blythe, Chester Blythe, DeWitt Blythe*, Burton Blythe, Joseph Edwards, Ronnie Edwards, Robert Johnson and Exum White III. Blythe, 85, a retired farmer, died Sunday night in Southampton Memorial hospital after illness of several weeks. A native of Southampton County, he was a son of Jesse and Mrs. Mary Jane Mumford Blythe and the husband of Mrs. Lillie Joyner Blythe. He was a member of Hunterdale Christian Church and its Men's Bible Class. Besides his widow, surviving are two sons, Stafford Blythe and Elmo Blythe of Franklin; three daughters, Mrs. Vivian Johnson, Mrs. Minnie Edwards and Mrs. Virginia White of Chesapeake, Va.; and two sisters, Mrs. Charlie Blythe and Mrs. Frank Blythe of Franklin. *"DeWitt Blythe" should be Dwight Blythe.
