All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ EFFIE BLYTHE Miss Effie Blythe, 77, daughter of the late Archie and Keaton Beale Blythe, died at the home of her brother, Hunter Blythe of the Franklin community, Monday afternoon, June 21, after an illness of about three weeks. Besides Mr. Blythe she is survived by a sister, Mrs. J.G. Joyner of Franklin, and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 5:30 o’clock at the graveside in Poplar Spring Cemetery, Rev. B.H. Watkins, her pastor, and Rev. R.D. Stephenson of Norfolk officiating. Pallbearers were Bernard Blythe, Shelton and Herman Cobb, Edgar Blythe, James Lonnie Blythe, D.C. Blythe, Edward Blythe and J.G.
