Holland & Sons Funeral Home by the Rev. Robert D. Fridley. Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery. Pallbearers were Henry Patrick, Adolph Blythe, Buddy Wise, Lee Mosley, Eddie Byrd and Bobby Mosley. Mrs. Blythe, 88, died Wednesday in Southside Nursing Home after a long illness. A native of Lancaster County, she was the widow of Lee Butler Blythe and a daughter of Willie and Mrs. Rebecca Faircloth Purcell. She was a member of High Street United Methodist Church. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. J.J. Mosley of Emporia, Mrs. Marshall Wise of Murfreesboro, N.C., Mrs. Evelyn Patrick of Baltimore, and Mrs. Roy Byrd of Remington; two sons, William Blythe of Franklin and Purcell Blythe of Whaleyville; 24 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.
