LILLIE MAE JOYNER BLYTHE 

   FRANKLIN -  A funeral service for Mrs. Lillie Joyner Blythe was conducted 
Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. in the chapel of W.J.M. Holland & Sons Funeral Home by 
the Rev. R.E. Brittle of Hunterdale United Church of Christ.  Burial was in 
the family cemetery near Franklin.

   Pallbearers were Burt Blythe, Harrell Blythe, Horace Blythe, Dwight Blythe, 
Robert Johnson, Henry Johnson, Exum White and M.B. Blythe.

   Mrs. Blythe, 84, died Saturday night in a Virginia Beach nursing home.

   A native of Southampton County, she was the widow of Benjamin Stratford* 
Blythe and a daughter of Elisha and Mrs. Narcissus Joyner.

   She was a member of Hunterdale Christian Church.

   Surviving are two sons, Stratford* E. Blythe and Elmo E. Blythe of 
Franklin; three daughters, Mrs. Edward Johnson of Virginia Beach, Mrs. J.E. 
Edwards and Mrs. Newby White of Franklin; 24 grandchildren; and nine great 
grandchildren.
