FRANKLIN - Mallory B. Blythe Jr., 67, a retired supervisor, of Route 2, died Aug. 17, in a hospital. Mr. Blythe, a native of Franklin, was a member of Bethel Friends Meeting. He was past governor of the Franklin Chapter of the Loyal Order of Moose, Lodge 1573. He was former assistant fire chief of the Hunterdale Fire Department. Survivors include his wife, Martha Cale Blythe; two sons, Malcolm Bernard "Mac" Blythe of Hunterdale and Douglas Cale Blythe of Frindswood, Tx.; three sisters, Bertha Lankford and Bessie B. Carr, both of Franklin, and Hazel B. Corbitt of Newport News; two brothers, Cecil Blythe and Howard Blythe, both of Franklin; and three grandchildren. The funeral was conducted Wednesday in Wright Funeral Home by the Revs. Cafer Marley and Walter Snowa. Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery.
