Blythe, 62, died at his home in the Bethel community last Saturday morning. The deceased was a faithful member of Bethel Friends Meeting House, with which he had been identified since young manhood. Surviving him are his wife, Mrs. Rosa Cobb Blythe; three daughters, Mrs. H.A. Lankford, Mrs. B.R. Carr and Miss Hazel Blythe, all of Franklin; five sons, Luther, Cecil, Philip, Howard and Mallory Blythe, Jr.; two sisters, Mrs. J.G. Joyner and Miss Effie Blythe; three brothers, Tony, Hunter and Charlie Blythe of the community and a number of grandchildren. Funeral rites were conducted Sunday afternoon at Bethel Meeting House by Rev. J.A. Stanfield, assisted by Dr. Elwood W. Jones of Franklin. Interment was in the family cemetery near Williams Cross Roads.* Pallbearers were: R.R. Lankford, J.C. Bradshaw, J. Paul Councill, R.J. Councill, James Drake, John Johnson, Exum N. White and T.J. Cox. The Bethel choir was assisted by a quartette composed of Percy and Frank Bunch, E.K. Brinkley and Ralph Hines of Franklin.
