Franklin - Funeral services for William Kelly Blythe Sr., 64, were held Sunday in the Holland-Rideout Funeral Home chapel by Dr. R.E. Brittle. Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Bruce Blythe, David Blythe, Make Blythe, Edward Blythe, David Blythe Jr., Andy Blythe, Al Bulls, Wilson Blythe and Zolan Pollock. A native of Southampton, Blythe died Friday in Southampton Memorial Hospital. He was a member of Hunterdale United Church of Christ. He was a World War II Army veteran and the retired owner of Blythe Paint Contractors in Franklin. Survivors include his wife Mrs. Alda May Blythe; his mother Mrs. Hunter Blythe; three sons, William K. Blythe, Jr. of Chesterfield, Donald T. Blythe of Franklin and Douglas T. Blythe of Carrsville, three daughters, Carolyn B. Bland, Brenda B. Holland both of Carrsville and Arlene B. Palmer of Suffolk; four brothers, Melvin Blythe of Smithfield, Edward H. Blythe Sr., Clinton F. Blythe and Franklin R. Blythe all of Franklin; three sisters, Miss Allie Mae Blythe of Franklin, Mrs. Katherine B. Parker of Gates, N.C., Mrs. Irene Bulls of Sedley; and 13 grandchildren.
