Howard Vinson Jr. Burial was in Poplar Spring cemetery. Blythe died Thursday in his home. He was a native of Franklin and the husband of Jessie Reed Burgess Blythe. He was a member of Hunterdale Baptist Church. Other survivors include two daughters, Jacqueline D. Drake of Suffolk and Barbara B. Edwards of Lynchburg; a son Joseph Adolf Blythe of Franklin; four sisters, Isabel Byrd of Florida, Rebecca Wise of Murfreesboro, N.C., Mrs. Clifford Patrick of Maryland, and Virginia Mosley of Enfield, N.C.; a brother, Purcell Blythe of Suffolk; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
