R.E. Brittle. Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery with W.J.M. Holland and Sons Funeral Home in charge. Pallbearers were Richard Cutchin, Elijah Joyner, Junius Pulley Jr., Marvin Whitley, Carey Blythe and Edgar Blythe. Blythe, 58, died early Thursday in Southampton Memorial Hospital after a short illness. A native of Southampton County, he was the husband of Mrs. Mary Babb Blythe and a son of Mrs. Etta B. Blythe and the late Frank Blythe. He was a farmer and a member of Hunterdale United Church of Christ. Besides his widow and mother, surviving are a son, Wayne Talmage Blythe of Chattanooga, Tenn. and a sister, Mrs. Larry Overby of Franklin.
