All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ NOLIE AVENT BOLTON A funeral service for Mrs. Nolie Avent Bolton, 89, of Margaretsville, N.C. who died Thursday at a Roanoke Rapids, N.C. nursing home, was conducted at the graveside in Beechwood Cemetery, Boykins, with the Rev. Charleston Holloman, and the Rev. Thomas H. Caulkins officiating. Mrs. Bolton was a native of Greensville County and was a daughter of Delbroe Claiborne and Mrs. Adelia Sykes Avent, and was the widow of Jessie Q. Bolton. She was a member of the Branchville Baptist Church. Surviving are two step-daughter, Mrs. L.O. Tyler and Mrs. H.H. Webb, and a stepson, Hersey Bolton, all of Branchville; three nieces, Miss Linda A. Tyler and Mrs. Harry Edwards, both of Margaretsville, N.C., Mrs. William S. Cuthriell of Portsmouth; two nephews, Marion L. Tyler of Margaretsville, N.C. and W. Delbroe Johnson, of Franklin. Pallbearers were Marion L. Tyler, W. Delbroe Johnson, Bill Cuthriell, Linton Grizzard, Thomas Grizzard, and B.C. Edwards. McDowell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
