DOSIA ANN REDD BALLARD

   Mrs. Dosia Ann Redd Ballard, 78, widow of Robert L. Ballard of Colosse*, 
Isle of Wight County, died in a Norfolk hospital on Thursday, June 9, at 
7:22 p.m.

   A lifelong resident of Isle of Wight County, she was a member of Colosse 
Baptist Church and of the D.A.R.

   Surviving are four sons, Guthrie E. Ballard of Windsor, R. Alton Ballard 
of Courtland, and Roger L. and Shelby T. Ballard both of Norfolk; and five 
grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

   Funeral services for Mr. Ballard were conducted at the Colosse Baptist 
Church on Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock by the pastor, Rev. Curtis Hoffman. 
Burial was in the church cemetery.

   Pallbearers were Elmer Harcum, Ryland Lewis, O.W. Powell, Sherman Redd, 
Wilbur Redd, A.J. Spivey, Horace Spivey and J.T. Spivey.
