JAMES EDWARD BOONE

   James Edward Boone, 45 years old, well known electrical contractor of 
Franklin died suddenly at his residence on Pretlow Street Tuesday night.  Mr. 
Boone has been in ill health for many months and his death came very 
unexpectedly. 

   He was the husband of Mrs. Eunice Blythe Boone and son of the George M. and 
Ella Hall Boone of North Carolina. A member of High Street Methodist Church 
and was a member of the U.S. Merchant Marines World War 2. 

   Besides his wife he is survived by two daughters, Jewel Ellen Boone of 
Franklin and Mrs. Grace Vergara of Sheltonham, Penn.; 2 grandchildren; five 
sisters, Mrs. S.A. Carr of Franklin, Mrs. Thad Carmichael, Mrs. Thorne Eakins 
and Mrs. Jennie Crawford of Wilmington, N.C. and Mrs. John Monett of Porto 
Rico; four brothers, Geddie Boone and Roscoe Boone of Wilmington, Melvin Boone 
of Wallace and Howard Boone of Franklin and a number of nieces and nephews. 

   Body was taken to the funeral home of W.J.M. Holland and Sons of Franklin 
where funeral services will be held on Thursday afternoon at 3 p.m. with Rev. 
James W. Turner pastor of High Street Methodist Church officiating and 
interment in Rosemont Cemetery, Sedley.
