A native of Southampton Co., he was a retired merchant and farmer, and the husband of Mrs. Blanche Bryant Bunn. He was a member of Newsoms United Methodist Church, a trustee, superintendent and treasurer for over twenty years. He was a chartered member of Newsoms Ruritan Club, and former treasurer. He had served on the Newsoms Town Council for over twenty-six years. Surviving besides his wife are two daughter Mrs. Paige B. Prince of Sussex and Mrs. Peggy B. Simmons of Sebrell; two sons, J.C. Bunn, Jr., and Charles B. Bunn, both of Newsoms; twelve grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Sunday 3 P.M. Newsoms United Methodist Church by the Rev. Harry Bunch and Rev. Kenneth Williams. Burial in Hollywood Cemetery. Wright Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. The family requests that memorials be made to the Newsoms United Methodist Church or Boykins Rescue Squad.
