LAURA ADDIE BUNN Mrs. Laura Addie Bunn was born in Southampton county, September 5, 1875, and died February 22, 1920, of pneumonia following influenza. She was the daughter of Mr. W.D. Porter and the late Mrs. W.D. Porter and is survived by her father, husband, Mr. Jno. N. Bunn, and ten children, Ray, Frances, Ruby, Edward, Jack, Ethel, Bennie, Gladys, Bernice and Evelyn and five brothers. She was converted early in life and was connected with the Newsoms M.E. Church, and a member of the Womans Missionary Society. Her life was a busy one, never tiring of spending all her time in endless tasks for her family. Kind hearted, neighborly, cheerful and of a happy disposition, she won the love of all with whom she came in contact. Her body was tenderly laid to rest in the Newsoms cemetery. Here a crowd of sorrowing friends assembled to attest the high esteem in which she was held. The funeral services were held by her pastor, Rev. C.H. Kidd. Her friends will miss her, the immediate members of her family who lavished every possible attention upon her with a word of affection will be greatly bereaved, but the consolation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ will soothe and sustain and the expectation of glad reunion will encourage a patient continuance in well doing.
