VIRGINIA RAIFORD BAUM 

  Virginia Raiford Baum, 83, of the 9600 block of Norfolk Ave., died April 3, 
1990, in a Virginia Beach hospital.

  Mrs. Baum, a native of Franklin, was the widow of Robert S. Baum.  She was a 
member of Larchmont United Methodist Church.

  Survivors include three sisters, Louise R. Lowell and Martha R. Gaudry, both 
of Norfolk, and Catherine R. Barnett of Columbia, Tenn., and a grandchild.

  A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Forest Lawn 
Cemetery by the Rev. Harry Broom.  Friends may join the family from 7 to 8 
p.m. Thursday in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk.
