She was born Sept. 27, 1911, in Southampton County, a daughter of the late Henry Thomas and Josephine Kitchen Miles. She was the widow of Bennie Lee Bunn to whom she was married for 62 years. Mrs. Bunn was a longtime bookkeeper for Peebles Department Store in Boykins. She was a member of Newsoms Baptist Church, where she was a former Sunday School teacher, a member of the choir, the WMU and the Golden Age Club. Survivors include her daughter, Mary B. Watson and her husband, David, of Suffolk; her son, K. Braxton Bunn and his wife, Frances, of Newsoms; seven grandchildren, Cindy Vander Berg and her husband, Paul, of Fredericksburg, Greg O'Berry of Newport News, Ken Bunn and his wife, Emily, of Courtland, Brandy Bunn of Newsoms, David Watson and his wife, Lisa, of Gainesville, Fla., Durrah Watson of Hawaii, and Dwayne Watson and his wife, Tonya, of Mechanicsville; six great-grandchildren, Tara O'Berry, Morgan Bunn, Jonathan Watson, Justin Watson, Alana Watson and Kelsey Watson. She was predeceased by a son, Rochelle Miles Bunn. A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in Newsoms Baptist Church by the Rev. Curtis Faison and the Rev. Kenneth Williams. Burial will be in Hollywood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at Wright Funeral Home, Boykins, and suggests that memorials be made to Newsoms Baptist Church, 29339 S. Main St., Newsoms , VA 23874, or to a favorite charity.
