Banks of Winton, N.C., died here last Friday at Raiford Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. She was the daughter of the late Richard H. and Mrs. Elizabeth Anne Lee Banks* of Gates County. Surviving besides her husband are three daughters, Mrs. Thad Eure of Raleigh, Mrs. R.E. Coggsdale of Franklin and Mrs. W.P. Johnson of San Marcos, Texas; one son, Dr. E.L. Banks, Jr., of Atlanta; four grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. R.E.L. Holland of Holland; and two brothers, the Rev. T.W. Lee of Middleburg, N.C. and C.B. Lee of Gates County. Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon at 4 o’clock by the Rev. John Bonner, Episcopal rector of the Winston Church, assisted by the Rev. J.E. Lanier of the Baptist Church. Burial was made in Poplar Spring Cemetery, Franklin. *Text is in error- she was the daughter of Richard Henry and Elizabeth Anne (EURE) LEE. Her maiden name was not BANKS, as her brothers demonstrate.
