Benson of Newsoms, was found smothered to death in bed Sunday morning, February 5, when the family awoke. Besides his parents he is survived by one sister, Josephine; two brothers, Len Ruppert, Jr., and Edward Earl; his parental grandmother, Mrs. Ida Benson of Franklin, and his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. R.C. Cutchins of Newsoms. The body was removed to the Purviance Funeral Home after being viewed by Sheriff T.B. Bell. Funeral services were conducted at the grave in Newsoms Cemetery with Rev. A.W. Morrison of the Newsoms Methodist Church officiating. Flower bearers were: Ann Cutchins, Beatrice and Dorothy Benson. Pallbearers were Gilbert and James Cutchins, Bobby Vick and Robert Lee Rawls. *VINSON in original corrected to BENSON; same error in D.Cert. 4611. Frank Alexander BENSON, son of Len R. & Jennie S.
