EDWARD MELTON BENTON 

   RICHMOND - A funeral service for Edward M. Benton, 60, was held Tuesday 
at 11 a.m. in Joseph W. Bliley Funeral Home, Third and Marshall Streets. 
Burial was in Southampton Memorial Park at 2 p.m.

   Benton died Saturday in a hospital.

   A native of Franklin, he was the husband of Princess Harris Benton.

   RICHMOND - A funeral service for Edward M. Benton, 60, was held recently 
in the Joseph W. Bliley Funeral Home, Richmond, with burial in Southampton 
Memorial Park, Franklin.

   Benton died Saturday, Aug. 28 in a Richmond hospital.

   Son of the late G.E. and Irene D. Benton of Franklin, he was the husband 
of Princess Harris Benton of Richmond.

   Other survivors include a daughter, Sandra B. Holloman and two 
grandchildren of Franklin; a sister, Elizabeth B. Zoellner of Bethel, Ohio; 
and two brothers, Garland E. Benton of Richmond and William J. Benton of 
Neward, Del.
