All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ JOHN BRANCH BEAMAN Norfolk - Funeral services for John Branch Beaman, Sr., 77, who died Saturday at his home in Norfolk after a short illness, were conducted Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the Episcopal Church of the Epiphany, of which he was a member, by the rector, Rev. Joseph W. Buchanan, and Dr. William L. Lumpkin, pastor of Freemason Baptist Church. Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery, Franklin. A native of Franklin, Mr. Beaman had lived in Norfolk 34 years. He was a son of Luther Thomas and Mrs. Ellen Branch Beaman. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Sallie Dunning Beaman of Norfolk, five daughters and six sons; two sisters, Mrs. H.A. Moore of Java, Va., and Mrs. Horace B. Knight of Whaleyville; two brothers, Albert G. Beaman of Norfolk and Walter Beaman of Virginia Beach; 26 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, W.F. Hart, Jr., of Franklin is a nephew.
