First Ave. Services were led by Rev. Ira D. Hudgins. Pallbearers were Ryland T. Cobb, Robert Howell, Howard R. Cotton, Russell B. Cotton, Frederick W. Williams and Allen Cobb. Mrs. Beaman died Wednesday (Nov. 15) in a Chesapeake nursing home after a long illness. A lifetime resident of the area, she was the widow of Herbert W. Beaman and a daughter of William Mills and Mrs. Margarette Darden Cobb. She was a member of Franklin Baptist Church. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Ruby B. Bishop of Franklin; a son, Walter E. Beaman of Virginia Beach; one sister, Mrs. Herman Howell and one brother, Linwood Cobb, both of Franklin, and five grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Friday at 2:30 p.m. in W.J.M. Holland & Sons Funeral Home by the Rev. Ira D. Hudgins. Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery. Mary Lee (COBB; Mrs. Herbert W.)
